Showcase XXIII
|
This and the next vitrine present the thirteenth
and fourteenth century pottery. In this period, there was a popular decoration
of vessels made by liquid white clay applied before glazing. This technology
provides vessels with slightly-relief appearance.
The
exhibition displays only a small part of the huge collection of glazed ceramics
excavated in Cherson and its environs and stored in the preserve.
